It all started in Porvoo, with licorice and a desire to do something a little different. Over more than 30 years, Makulaku has grown from its roots as a family business into an international licorice specialist – but one thing has remained the same: our love for licorice.
To us, licorice is about more than just being black and sweet. It can be rich, coated, sour, soft, or something completely new. Great taste is always where it all begins – and our curiosity to discover the next great flavor keeps us moving forward.
